THUMB
When Claudine and Chook first started discussing a common musical project in the winter of 2010, they came from completely different worlds. He had discovered DJ-ing as a teenager and soon made a name for himself not only as a turntable artist, but also as a drum&bass producer; she was a singer-songwriter touring with a folk-rock band and had an admiration for the likes of Tom Waits, Van Morrison and Joni Mitchell. Neither one of them knew anything about the other one's musical roots and influences. Yet, after having built successful careers in their respective fields, they were eager to take on a new musical challenge and search for common ground.
The result of this collaboration is Monophona, a blend of two extremes, electronic and intimate, melodic and innovative. When the time came to take their songs to the stage, the duo was joined by Jorsch on drums and percussion. He adds detail and dynamics to their set and, with his enthusiasm and broad musical knowledge, soon became an invaluable asset, turning the duo into a trio.
MORNING SKY
Alvin and Lyle is a solo producer who writes and produces music in a basement in Luxembourg. Although Alvin and Lyle might sound like a name more fitting for a 1950’s surf-pop duo, there is a glo-fi dancey dream-pop feel to his sound. The blurry, funky retro-sound hopefully leaves you yearning a sun drenched coastal drive on an endless summer road. But his journey is a new one and with only two live shows to date and 3 EPs to his name, Alvin and Lyle hope to continue creating hazed-out melodic music through a debut album to be released towards the end of the year.
MONSTERS
Novelist and songwriter, Claudine Muno is first and foremost an explorer. A fearless adventuress exploring the uncharted oceans and undiscovered islands of her own imagination The guitar and the pen are her navigational instruments and her band the Luna Boots are her loyal companions on this voyage. In 2010, the band released their new record “ Noctambul” which is a real toy-box of tricks. Describing her music as folk rock, though not inaccurate, hardly does justice to the broad sweep of her brush: her songs cover every ground from Americana, to chanson française to jazz. Moreover, the group contributed to the original soundtrack of the film “La Régate” in 2010, notably with the song “Avalanche”.

FJORD MUSTANG
Artaban is an electro band from Luxembourg founded by Charles and Max Nilles.
Their first album, called “Landscapes” was released in 2008. Some critics favourably described it as a
cross between Röyksopp and Boards of Canada.
After numerous concerts (among others as support for Modeselektor, Apparat, Foals, Wax Tailor, Sebastien Tellier, M83), a multitude of remixes and collaborations for movie soundtracks, Artaban are finally back with their second album, called “Flow”.
With the support of a new third member to the band, Artaban’s second Opus bears an analog touch. Flirting at times with electro-pop, yet keeping a darker energy and sound, this evolution also translates into the addition of vocals on some tracks.
